Dua Lipa Announces ‘Future Nostalgia’ Remix Album With Madonna, Gwen Stefani & More

Dua Lipa has announced a star-studded lineup for her remix album Club Future Nostalgia: The Remix Album.

The 24-year-old singer said on Instagram that the album will include a remix of her track “Levitating” featuring Madonna and Missy Elliott, and a remix of the song “Physical” featuring Gwen Stefani and Mark Ronson. “Levitating” and “Physical” both appear on Lipa’s second studio album, Future Nostalgia, which was released in March. 

Lipa will release the “Levitating” remix Aug. 14 and the full remix album Aug. 21.

Kesha Releases Video For ‘Little Bit of Love’

Kesha and her cat Mr. Peeps star in the pop star’s new self-directed video for “Little Bit of Love.”

“Little Bit of Love” appears on Kesha’s most recent album, High Road, which was released in January. Last month, Kesha teamed up with L.A. singer-songwriter Wrabel for a new song, “Since I was Young.”  The pair previously worked together on multiple songs on Kesha’s Rainbow, as well as High Road.

BTS, Doja Cat, J Balvin Set To Perform At 2020 MTVs VMAs

On Tuesday, MTV announced on Twitter the first group of performers for the 2020 MTV VMAs.

BTS, nominated for Best Pop, Best K-Pop and Best Choreography, will perform its forthcoming single “Dynamite” for the first time during the awards show. Doja Cat, who is up for PUSH Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Direction, and J Balvin, who is nominated for Best Collaboration and thrice for Best Latin, will also perform. Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga lead the list of nominees, with nine nominations each, followed by Billie Eilish and The Weeknd.

The MTV VMAs will take place Aug. 30 at Barclays Center in New York. New York governor Andrew Cuomo previously said the awards show “will follow all safety guidance, including limited or no audience,” due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Taylor Swift Is The First Artist To Debut At No. 1 On Both Billboard 200 And Hot 100 Charts In Same Week

Taylor Swift has becoming the first artist ever to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 in the same week. Swift’s surprise eighth studio album, Folklore, took top honors in its first week after moving 846,000 units, marking the biggest sales week this year. Her lead single, “Cardigan,” also debuted at No. 1 after amassing 34 million U.S. streams and 71,000 downloads sold.

“Cardigan” is joined by “The 1” at No. 4, making her the first woman to have two songs simultaneously debut in the top five of the Hot 100. Meanwhile, the Swift/Bon Iver collab “Exile” took the No. 6 spot. She’s the sixth artist to have three tracks in the Hot 100’s top 10 in its first week.

The Weeknd To Perform Interactive Concert On TikTok

The Weeknd has announced an “interactive” concert on TikTok billed as a “first-of-its-kind virtual musical experience” to air Friday, August 7 at 8:30PM ET.

The concert will feature an animated avatar of Abel Tesfaye performing selections from his newest record, After Hours. TikTok promises that “fans will have the chance to interact with The Weeknd throughout as he takes viewers on an epic After Hours journey.” For the “After Hours Experience,” TikTok is partnering with the streaming app Wave.

Taylor Swift’s ‘Folklore’ Sets Record For 2020 With 2 Million Copies Sold In First Week Of Release

Taylor Swift’s latest album “Folklore” has sold over 2 million copies worldwide in one week, setting records in the process.

Swift’s eighth studio album also generated more than 500 million streams across various platforms throughout its debut week.  Swift’s music label, Republic Records, announced earlier this week that the album sold over 1.3 million copies in its first 24 hours alone.

“Folklore” has already broken records in the United States and worldwide. In its first day on Spotify, the album accumulated 80.6 million streams, setting a new benchmark on the platform for first-day streams by a female artist. Swift also holds the record for the female artist with the most albums debuting above 500,000 sales in the U.S., with all but her first album surpassing the mark. “Folklore” also did well on Apple Music, breaking the 24-hour record for most-streamed pop album with over 35 million streams on its first day.

BLACKPINK Announce Release Date For New Album

BLACKPINK have announced their debut album is set for release on October 2. The new album follows 2019’s KILL THIS LOVE EP.

The album features the previously shared single “How You Like That” and another song that’s set to arrive next month, which the group say will feature “surprise guest.”

Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande Lead 2020 MTV VMA Nominations: See The Full List

On Thursday, MTV revealed the full list of nominees for the 2020 Video Music Awards, with Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande leading the pack with nine nods each. Other artists with multiple nominations include Billie Eilish (six), The Weeknd (six), Taylor Swift (five) and Megan Thee Stallion (three).

The 2020 VMA Awards will be held at New York City’s Barclays Center on Sunday, Aug. 30 with “limited or no audience.”

Taylor Swift Releases New Version Of ‘Cardigan’

Taylor Swift has released a surprise new version of her single, “Cardigan”. The 30-year-old dropped the track, a version she’s calling “Cabin in the Candlelight” on social media, and revealed that it will only be available for download for 24 hours.

“Cardigan (Cabin in the Candlelight)” version is available now as a digital download, and on CD, Vinyl and 12″ vinyl until midnight on July 30, which only gives you 24 hours to download.

Taylor also released a music video for the track that features behind-the-scenes footage from the album photo shoot.
