Taylor Swift has revealed a fifth edition of her forthcoming 10th studio album, Midnights, will be exclusively sold by retail chain Target. The album’s ‘Lavender’ edition is named for the pastel purple hue slicked over the title and tracklisting on its cover. The CD will feature three as-yet-untitled bonus tracks, including one new song and two remixes. It’ll also come with a collectible lyric booklet that includes exclusive photos, and unique artwork on the disc itself.

The vinyl edition will also come with that booklet, as well as a full-size gatefold photo and an album sleeve with an additional two photos. The record itself will come pressed on a marble of pastel lavender purple and white, however the bonus tracks will not be included.

Earlier this month, Swift announced the ‘Jade Green’, ‘Blood Moon’ and ‘Mahogany’ editions of Midnights, all of which sport exclusive color schemes, artwork and imagery.

Midnights will follow up on Swift’s two 2020 albums, Folklore and Evermore, as well as last year’s re-recorded versions of Fearless and Red.  You can pre-order the ‘Lavender’ edition of Midnightshere.

Post Malone shares update after falling on stage during St. Louis concert

shutterstock_1199218984-3

Midway through his show at St. Louis’ Enterprise Center on Saturday, Post Malone took a nasty spill during his performance of ‘Circles,’ accidentally falling into an open trap door in the stage. See a fan video of Malone’s onstage fall in St. Louis: here.

Malone was walking down an extended ramp when he accidentally stepped into an uncovered hole that was used to lower his guitar. After crashing onto the stage floor, he clutched his ribcage in pain before calling for medical assistance. After leaving the stage for about 15 minutes, the singer returned and thanked the audience for their patience, telling the crowd:  “There was a big a** hole in the stage.” Still in pain while holding his side, Malone managed to finish with a shortened set that included “Rockstar,” “Cooped Up” (with Roddy Ricch), “Sunflower” and “White Iverson.”

Malone later took to Twitter on Sunday morning to explain what happened in a short video: “Whenever we do the acoustic part of the show, the guitar’s on the guitar stand and it goes down. And there’s this big ass hole, so I go around there and I turn the corner and I bust my ass. Winded me pretty good; got me pretty good.” The singer added that he was taken to the hospital and given a clean bill of health. “They gave me some pain meds and everything, so we can keep kicking ass on the tour.”

Lewis Capaldi shares the music video for ‘Forget Me’

shutterstock_1678228447

Lewis Capaldi has shared the video for his new song “Forget Me”, which pays homage to WHAM!’s classic single, “Club Tropicana.” Capaldi set out to duplicate the 1983 video, shot for shot, with director Louis Bhose at the helm (Bhose also directed Capaldi’s video for his single “Grace.”)

Director Bhose said in a press release: “You hear a sad song and you expect a sad video. There’s catharsis in that. But to go in the other direction completely felt more in line with the Lewis that walked onstage at Glastonbury in full Noel Gallagher getup The performance is classic Capaldi: ‘yeah, no bother, just singing this song with a cocktail in my hand. I’m fine, not thinking about my ex, here at Club Tropicana.’”

In the first 24 hours since it was released, ‘Forget Me’ has racked up more than 2 million streams.
Capaldi shared in a statement: “‘Forget Me’ is a song that’s so dear to my heart, and I definitely feel like it’s my best tune yet. It’s about a break-up I went through where after a year, the only real contact I had with my ex was seeing her ‘post-me’ life play out on her Instagram. I was at a point where I was feeling pretty miserable, and she seemed like she was moving on and having the best time, thriving, and I hated it. It seemed unfair to me that she appeared happy while I was hurting, and I was fearful she might have forgotten about me completely, so I wrote a song about it.”

Meghan Trainor drops her latest single ’Don’t I Make It Look Easy’

shutterstock_1197036976

Meghan Trainor has dropped her latest single “Don’t I Make It Look Easy” off her fourth full-length album, “Takin’ It Back”, which is set for release on October 21st. You can pre-order/pre-save the album: HERE.

Trainor had this to say about “Takin’ It Back”:  “When I started recording the album I was learning how to be a working mom. I very literally had my hands full with formula and toys, while also being in the studio writing and recording. I realized from the outside looking in I made this all look easy. Similar to how we only post the good moments on our social media, I thought, ‘Isn’t it silly that moms are supposed to have it all together? My intention with this song is to let everyone out there know that even though they might be feeling overwhelmed, they’re doing a great job.”
