Ellie Goulding is expecting her first child with her husband, Caspar Jopling. The 34-year-old Goulding shared the news in an interview with Vogue.
Goulding last made a major public appearance at the V&A Museum in August and said she found out about her pregnancy shortly after, saying, “It was crazy because it was our one-year anniversary. That was not the plan. The thought of getting pregnant didn’t seem like it could be a reality. Becoming pregnant kind of made me feel human. I want a better word than womanly, [but] — I have curves I’ve never had before. I’m enjoying it. My husband’s enjoying it.”
Goulding said she is “excited” to be a mother but remains focused on music. The singer released Brightest Blue, her first album in nearly five years, in July amid the pandemic. Brightest Blue features the singles “Worry About Me” featuring Blackbear, “Power” and “Slow Grenade” featuring Lauv.

Two women who accused James Franco of sexual misconduct at his defunct film school have dropped their charges in light of a new settlement agreement.
In 2019, Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal filed a class action lawsuit against the actor and his Studio 4 school. The acting and film school was open from 2014 to 2017, during which time the accusers said Franco and his fellow teachers “engaged in widespread inappropriate and sexually charged behavior towards female students by sexualizing their power as a teacher and an employer by dangling the opportunity for roles in their projects.”
Over a year later, the two sides have reached a settlement agreement. The financial terms of the agreement are not yet public, though they must be submitted for court approval by March 15th. The agreement finds Tither-Kaplan and Gaal agreeing to drop their suit against Franco; his partners, Vince Jolivette and Jay Davis; and his Rabbit Bandini production company.
Allegations of Franco’s misconduct began to surface at the height of the #MeToo movement in 2018 after he won the Golden Globe for his role as Tommy Wiseau in The Disaster Artist. Since then, Franco has kept a low profile, sticking to self-directed projects like Zeroville or minor voice roles in Arctic Dogs.

After nearly three decades, Daft Punk is calling it quits. The group’s longtime publicist Kathryn Frazier confirmed the split to Variety.
Jim Henson’s classic series “The Muppet Show” began streaming on Disney+ on Friday, but now will come prefaced with an offensive content disclaimer, saying, “This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversations to create a more inclusive future together.”
The show, which ran for five seasons between 1976 and 1981, features the new content warning on 18 episodes, including those guest-hosted by Steve Martin, Peter Sellers, Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, Debbie Harry and Marty Feldman, among others.
Each episode bears the 12-second disclaimer for a different reason; Cash’s appearance had him singing in front of a Confederate flag, and other episodes had negative depictions of Native Americans, Middle Easterners and people from other cultures. Two episodes from the final season, featuring guest stars Brooke Shields and staff writer Chris Langham, are left out entirely.
