NSYNC alum Lance Bass and husband, artist Michael Turchin, announced they are expecting twins this fall. The couple, who were married in 2014, shared that their boy/girl twins are due late October 2021.

Bass, 42, told People magazine that the couple’s four-year journey to parenthood was difficult, saying: “When we went into IVF and surrogacy, we had no idea what it was all about. Pretty much everyone we’ve known had bad luck at the beginning. The first time they tried it, it just did not work.” Turchin, 34, added that the pair initially went through nine different egg donors, all of whom didn’t work out for various reasons.

The couple knew they’ve wanted twins early in the relationship, meaning each child would share DNA with one parent.  Said Michael: “When we did the egg retrieval, he fertilized half, I fertilized half. And luckily, they all turned out great.”  Lance added, “We took the two healthiest embryos, and put them in, and it perfectly fit with our plans.”

BTS’s latest single, “Butter,” has made music history for the South Korean band. “Butter” has debuted at the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 charts, making it the group’s fourth No. 1 song in the past nine months.  “Butter” topping this week’s chart comes exactly nine months after their first No. 1 single, “Dynamite,” hit the top spot on September 5, 2020.

The No. 1 debut of “Butter” also means that BTS has achieved the quickest journey to four No. 1 singles among groups since the Jackson 5 did so back in 1970.  It also makes BTS just one of a handful of artists to achieve their first four No. 1 singles in under a year, joining The Beatles, The Supremes, Justin Timberlake, the Jackson 5, Mariah Carey, and Paula Abdul.
