Selena Gomez and Coldplay release music video for “Let Somebody Go”

Coldplay and Selena Gomez have released the music video for their collaborative single, “Let Somebody Go.” “Let Somebody Go” is featured on Coldplay’s most recent album, Music of the Spheres.

The video, directed by Dave Meyers, finds Gomez and Coldplay front man Chris Martin trying to find their way back to each other throughout a series of obstacles.

Kylie Jenner welcomes second baby with Travis Scott

Kylie Jenner welcomed her second child with Travis Scott on Wednesday, February 2.  Jenner made the announcement on Sunday, February 6th, posting a photo on social media of her newborn holding what seems to be big sister Stormi’s hand along with the caption 💙 2/2/22.”

The 25-year-old Jenner and Scott, 30, welcomed their now-3-year-old daughter, Stormi, in February 2018. One year after Stormi’s arrival, Kylie confirmed that she and Scott had split but remained on good terms while co-parenting Stormi. They later sparked reconciliation rumors in June 2021.

In September, Jenner revealed she was expecting her second child with Scott, sharing the baby news on Instagram with a home video and the caption: “@travisscott”

Paramount Network confirms ‘Yellowstone’ is returning for Season 5

The hit Paramount Network drama ‘Yellowstone” is officially confirmed to return for Season 5 in 2022. The modern-day Western is set to begin production in May. Executive Producer David C. Glasser said: “We are honored to be able to bring audiences another season of Yellowstone. The continued growth in viewership and the recent recognition from the guilds bolsters our commitment to continue to bring groundbreaking entertainment to audiences.”

The entire principal cast is returning for Season 5, including Kevin Costner (John Dutton), Luke Grimes (Kayce Dutton), Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton), Wes Bentley (Jamie Dutton), Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler), Kelsey Asbille (Monica Dutton), Brecken Merrill (Tate Dutton), Jefferson White (Jimmy Hurdstrom), Forrie Smith (Lloyd Pierce), Denim Richards (Colby), Ian Bohen (Ryan), Finn Little (Carter), Ryan Bingham (Walker) and Gil Birmingham (Thomas Rainwater).  In addition, Jen Landon (Teeter) and Kathryn Kelly (Emily) have been bumped up from guest starring status into series regulars.

Yellowstone has become the most-watched show on cable television since it launched in 2018.  Chris McCarthy, President and CEO, ViacomCBS Media Networks, said: “Yellowstone’s record-breaking performance proves we’ve tapped a cultural nerve and unleashed a passionate audience from the center of the country to each of the coasts. Kevin Costner leads our incredible cast who make the Duttons America’s favorite family, and this new season is sure to be another one fans won’t want to miss.”

Yellowstone Season 5 will premiere this fall.

The nearly 10-minute music video, directed by Benny Boom, sees Minaj take on the role of a secret agent who goes to the dark side. Along with Minaj and Lil Baby, the video stars Joseph Sikora (Ozark, Power) and Cory Hardrict (The Chi, S.W.A.T.)

Machine Gun Kelly and WILLOW team up for the new single ‘Emo Girl’

Machine Gun Kelly and WILLOW have teamed up for their first collaboration, the single “emo girl.” The song, produced by Travis Barker, will appear on MGK’s forthcoming studio album Mainstream Sellout due out March 25.

Machine Gun Kelly has shared four singles from his upcoming LP Mainstream Sellout. In addition to WILLOW, featured guests on the album include CORPSE (“DAYWALKER!”) and Sleeping with Sirens frontman Kellin Quinn (“love race”).

Netflix teases Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Pinocchio’ set to debut in December

Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming stop-motion musical adaptation of Pinocchio is coming to Netflix in December, ad the streaming service shared a short teaser trailer for the animated feature. Pinocchio is based on the Carlo Collodi children’s novel The Adventures of Pinocchio, which follows a wooden puppet who comes to life.

Ewan McGregor voices Sebastian J. Cricket in the clip, who tells audiences that he lived inside the heart of the wooden boy before a logo for the film appears. David Bradley as Geppetto and Gregory Mann as Pinocchio also star along with Cate Blanchett, Finn Wolfhard, Ron Perlman John Turturro, Tim Blake Nelson, Burn Gorman, Christoph Waltz and Tilda Swinton.

Disney is also planning a live-action adaptation of Pinocchio based on its classic 1940 animated film of the same name. Tom Hanks, Cynthia Erivo and Luke Evans are set to star in the 2022 film with Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Keegan-Michael Key and Lorraine Bracco providing voices.

John Mulaney set to host ‘Saturday Night Live’ for a fifth time on February 26

Comedian John Mulaney is set to guest host Saturday Night Live for a fifth time on Feb. 26, after the show returns from a three-week break due to NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics.

The only other celebrities who have guest hosted SNL five times include Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin, John Goodman, Tom Hanks, Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson and Paul Rudd.  And just like that…” Mulaney tweeted after the show announced his 5th hosting gig. Indie rock band LCD Soundsystem will provide the musical entertainment for the 2/26  episode.

Mulaney recently welcomed his first child, a son named Malcolm, with his girlfriend, actress Olivia Munn.

Jennifer Lopez and Maluma drop the title track from the upcoming film “Marry Me”

Jennifer Lopez & Maluma’s new single, “Marry Me (Kat & Bastian Duet),” from the ‘Marry Me’ soundtrack is out now.  You can listen to the duet at the link – here.  Lopez says the pair filmed the performance of Marry Me as seen in the film at one of Maluma’s real-life concerts in New York City.

In the film Marry Me, Lopez and Maluma portray global pop superstars Kat Valdez and Bastian. The story follows Valdez as she headlines a concert of her own, immediately after finding out that Bastian cheated on her. In order to save face and regain control of her unfortunate narrative, she then pulls off a headline-making publicity stunt and selects an unsuspecting math teacher, Charlie (Owen Wilson), from the audience to wed on the spot.

Marry Me will hit theaters and debut on streaming service Peacock on Friday, Feb. 11.

Silk Sonic’s Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak entering the world of Epic Games’ ‘Fortnite’

R&B duo Silk Sonic — comprised of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak — are making their way into Epic Games’ “Fortnite” battle-royale.  Epic Games will be bringing Silk Sonic into Fortnite with ’70s-inspired outfits, a new radio station and a player tournament.

Bruno Mars said in a statement: “When ‘Fortnite’ asked me if I wanted to create an outfit for the game, I asked, ‘Are CGI muscles off the table?’ They said, ‘No.’ I said, ‘Deal.’ I’ll see you on the Island.”   Anderson .Paak added: “When ‘Fortnite’ agreed to give Bruno CGI muscles, I said, ‘I’m in.’ He could use the help, so I support it. And it makes me cool. Win, win.”  It’s the latest music partnership for Epic Games, which has featured Fortnite concerts with Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, J Balvin and Marshmello.

‘Silk Sonic’ outfits and accessories will be available in the Item Shop in Fortnite, beginning Feb. 10, 2022, at 7 p.m. ET.  Until then, players can compete in the ‘Silk Sonic Cup’ set to take place Monday, Feb. 7, for a chance to unlock the Mars and .Paak outfits before they are officially released.  Fortnite also debuted an in-game radio station, Icon Radio, featuring Silk Sonic and hosted by funk icon and Silk Sonic collaborator Bootsy Collins. Players can listen to tracks from “An Evening With Silk Sonic” by turning on Icon Radio in vehicles in the game.

2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees include Dolly Parton, Eminem, Lionel Richie and more

Dolly Parton, Eminem, and Lionel Richie were among the nominees announced for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class of 2022. Also nominated were Beck, Pat Benatar, Kate Bush, DEVO, Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Judas Priest, Fela Kuti, MC5, New York Dolls, Rage Against The Machine, Carly Simon, A Tribe Called Quest and Dionne Warwick.

John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, said in a statement: “This year’s ballot recognizes a diverse group of incredible artists, each who has had a profound impact on the sound of youth culture. Their music not only moved generations but also influenced the sound of countless artists that followed.”

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame rules state that each nominee’s first single or album must be at least 25 years old. Fans can vote on the Class of 2022 nominees at vote.rockhall.com.  Every “fan ballot” gets tallied along with a voter pool of more than 1,000 artists, historians, journalists and music industry professionals.  Between five-seven acts will be announced in May before being officially inducted in the fall.
