shutterstock_1279728955

Edie Falco has been cast opposite Pete Davidson in the upcoming Peacock comedy series “Bupkis.” The actress and Davidson made the announcement during NBCUniversal’s upfront presentation. “Bupkis” was picked up straight-to-series at Peacock back in April and is described as a ‘heightened, fictionalized version of Davidson’s real life.’  Per Peacock, it will combine grounded storytelling with absurd elements from the worldview for which Davidson is well known. Falco will star as Davidson’s mother.

Davidson will not only star in “Bupkis” will serves as co-writer and executive producer, along with Dave Sirus and Judah Miller will also write and executive produce, and Miller serving as showrunner. Saturday Night Live head Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, and Erin David of Broadway Video will also executive produce.

Falco is best known for her role in the iconic HBO series “The Sopranos,” for which she earned three Emmy Awards. She is also known for her starring role in Showtime’s “Nurse Jackie,” which saw her pick up another Emmy in 2010. Most recently she played Hilary Clinton in the third season of “American Crime Story” at FX, “Impeachment.”

Davidson’s real life has been the basis for an onscreen project before; he previously starred in the film “The King of Staten Island” which he co-wrote with director Judd Apatow and Dave Sirus.  The film was inspired in part by aspects of Davidson’s life, with Marisa Tomei played his mother in that film.

‘Black Mirror’ returning to Netflix for highly-anticipated Season 6

shutterstock_2037663692

Netflix has picked up another season of the dystopian-anthology series ‘Black Mirror’, nearly three years since new episodes last aired.

Season 6 of Black Mirror is still in its early development and the casting phase. The new season will reportedly have more episodes than Season 5, which was comprised of just three new episodes– Striking Vipers with Anthony Mackie and Yahya Abdul-Matteen II, Smithereens with ‘Sherlock’ star Andrew Scott, and Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too, which starred Miley Cyrus.  The first two seasons of Black Mirror were also comprised of just three episodes, but Seasons 3 and 4 each had 6 episodes.

Sources close to the production tell Variety that Black Mirror Season 6 will adopt a more cinematic approach; each episode of Season 6 is rumored to be thought of as an ‘individual film,’ which hints that each episode will be over an hour in length. However, content of the episodes themselves remain unclear.

A premiere date for Black Mirror Season Six has not yet been announced.

Sports Illustrated has unveiled the cover models for its 2022 swimsuit issue: Kim Kardashian, singer Ciara and models Yumi Nu and Maye Musk appear on four new covers of the magazine.

Kardashian, 41, was photographed by Greg Swales at photoshoot in the Dominican Republic. In an interview, Kardashian said it was a surprise to be selected for the Sports Illustrated cover: “I vividly remember Tyra Banks on the cover and women with curves. I remember thinking that is so cool. But, I still didn’t think I would have — I thought you had to be a professional model and a runway model. It was always really young girls. I don’t want to date myself or sound old but in my 40s? That’s crazy! I never thought in a million years I would be shooting one myself.”

Ciara, 36, was photographed by Ben Watts in Barbados. The singer said appearing on the cover was “a big dream come true” and talked about having the freedom to pursue her goals.  Said Ciara: “When you’re pursuing your dream, all it takes is one person to believe and that’s you. If you believe, there’s all the chance in the world… There’s a lot more I want to accomplish and I have to have that ‘I believe in me, why not you’ attitude.”

The 25-year-old Nu is a Japanese-Dutch model, and the niece of DJ Steve Aoki and model and actress Devon Aoki. She made her Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue debut in 2021 and was the first plus-size model to appear on the cover of Vogue Japan. The 74-year-old Musk is a Canadian-South African model and dietician, and the mother of entrepreneur Elon Musk. She is best known for her modeling work with CoverGirl.

Post Malone & Roddy Ricch team up for the new single ‘Cooped Up’

shutterstock_1543631711-2

Post Malone has dropped the follow-up to his hit song ‘One Right Now’ (featuring The Weeknd) with the release of his new single with Roddy Ricch titled ‘Cooped Up.’

Said Post about Roddy: “He’s just such an incredible man and just a natural performer and vocalist and lyricist. And he just gets after it, and it’s so cool. And he’s such a beautiful, beautiful man. And so talented, man. I’m so pumped.”   Post also said of their new collab: “I’m trying, man. I’m trying. I’ve been out of my bag for a long time, and I’m trying to hop back in there, man. We knew what we wanted to say, and we knew what we wanted to express, not only in a song but in that particular moment on the album. And yeah, it just came super naturally. I couldn’t even tell you. I was probably on the s***ter when I wrote it. And so, there’s a lot of things very much so on this record that are tongue in cheek. And I think this whole record is the most honest record I’ve made, and I’m so pumped for people to hear it. But every song in there tells a story, so this is kind of like, “Here’s the life that we live, but there’s always something going on in the background.”
