The Osbournes return to reality TV with upcoming show ‘Home to Roost’

Ozzy Osbourne and family are returning to TV with a reality BBC docu-series, which will follow the life of the iconic Osbourne family. The show, entitled Home to Roost, will depict the everyday life of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne as they start over back in the U.K., returning to their family home in the town of Buckinghamshire. The couple’s children, daughter Kelly and son Jack, will also be featured in the show to assist their parents with readjusting to life back across the pond.

Home to Roost will consist of a 10-part series on the BBC, and will premiere in 2023 — though an exact release date has not been announced. The BBC said in a statement: “The series will follow the Osbournes as they celebrate one of their most important years yet — with everything from Sharon’s 70th birthday to Kelly’s soon-to-be-born baby, Ozzy’s tour, and of course the big move itself. This will be a genuine portrait, showing Sharon and Ozzy as they face up to illness and the challenges of getting older, but with the usual Osbourne eccentricities, humor, warmth and love.”

The announcement of the new series comes shortly after Ozzy said in an interview that he and Sharon were moving back to the U.K., citing the rising levels of gun violence within the United States. Ozzy and Sharon have both insisted that his health was not a factor in deciding to leave the U.S.

Home to Roost comes two decades after the family first broke onto the reality TV scene with their hit MTV series The Osbournes. The show, which premiered on MTV in 2002, became one of the highest-rated reality series in the network’s history.

Justin Bieber cancels remainder of his ‘Justice World Tour’ to prioritize his physical and mental health

shutterstock_1948177357-3

On Tuesday, Justin Bieber told fans in a statement posted on his Instagram story that he was calling off the remainder of his Justice World Tour to prioritize his health.

He wrote: “Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, where my face was partly paralyzed. As the result of this illness, I was not able to complete the North American leg of the Justice Tour. After resting and consulting with my doctors, family and team, I went to Europe in an effort to continue with the tour. I performed six live shows, but it took a real toll on me. This past weekend, I performed at Rock in Rio and I gave everything I have to the people in Brazil. After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me.”  Bieber said he knew in that moment that he had to “make my health the priority,” adding, “I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. I will be okay, but I need time to rest and get better. Thank you for your prayers and support throughout all of this.”

Bieber shared news of his health issues in June and said of his remaining U.S. tour dates at the time, “I’m just physically not capable of doing them. This is pretty serious.” Bieber was able to restart his tour the following month, performing at Italy’s Lucca Summer festival.  According to the Mayo Clinic, Ramsay Hunt syndrome is caused by the chickenpox virus, which continues to lay dormant in a person after initial infection and can reactivate as a shingles rash. The syndrome is caused when a shingles rash, which can be painful, breaks out near one’s ear. It can trigger facial paralysis and hearing loss.

37 years after its initial release, Kate Bush’s hit track “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” has been reissued as a CD single. The song, which amassed a huge resurgence due to its use in Season 4 of Netflix’s “Stranger Things”, was originally a part of Bush’s 1985 album “Hounds of Love.”

As described on the website, the CD will feature a “period correct” artwork and a B-side. The single cover features a throwback photo of Bush aiming a bow and arrow. Aside from “Running Up That Hill,” the tracklist also features “Uner the Ivy.” The song is available via Rhino here.

After the single was used on the fourth season of “Stranger Things,” it immediately garnered massive success. In a rare interview with the BBC in June, Bush said she knew the song would gain attention again, but she never imagined it to be this big because “the whole world’s gone mad.  The thought of all these really young people hearing the song for the first time and discovering it is, well, I think it’s very special.”

shutterstock_1192062571

After performing only a few songs during the second night of his two sold-out concerts at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on Saturday, The Weeknd was forced to cut the show short after losing his voice. During his performance of “Can’t Feel My Face” The Weeknd lost his voice, stopped and then came out onstage to tell the crowd: “I can’t give you the concert I want to give you. I’m going to make sure everyone’s good, gets your money back, and I’ll do a show real soon for you guys, but I wanted to come out and personally apologize and not tweet it or Instagram it. I wanted you guys to know that I can’t give you what I want to give you. I apologize. I’m so sorry.  You know how much this kills me. I love you. Thank you so much.”

In a Twitter post, he wrote: “My voice went out during the first song and I’m devastated. Felt it go and my heart dropped.  My deepest apologies to my fans here.  I promise I’ll make it up to you with a new date.”

The Weeknd’s stadium tour then got off to a rocky start in July in his hometown of Toronto, which had to be postponed because of a Rogers wireless network outage. The tour is now expected to move on through Mexico, South America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa & Middle East.

Shia LaBeouf joins the cast of Francis Ford Coppola’s upcoming feature film ‘Megalopolis’

shutterstock_224066593-1

Francis Ford Coppola’s upcoming $100 million feature film “Megalopolis” has added actor Shia LaBeouf to the star-studded cast.  Coppola’s passion project, slated to begin production this fall, stars Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jon Voight and Laurence Fishburne. Talia Shire (Coppola’s sister who starred in his “Godfather” films), Jason Schwartzman, Grace Vanderwaal, Kathryn Hunter and James Remar have also joined the cast.

Coppola wrote the screenplay for the film in the 1980s, and is financing the dream project himself. The plot has remained largely under wraps, but the film’s official logline teases new details: “The fate of Rome haunts a modern world unable to solve its own social problems in this epic story of political ambition, genius and conflicted love.”

LaBeouf’s casting comes after the actor had been blacklisted from Hollywood after musician FKA Twigs, his former romantic partner, filed a lawsuit against him for sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress in 2020. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleged multiple incidents of physical abuse during the couple’s one-year relationship in 2018 and 2019. The lawsuit currently has yet to go to trial.

LaBeouf sought inpatient treatment after the allegations surfaced, and is set to appear in Abel Ferrara’s “Padre Pio,” which will open at the Venice Film Festival’s Venice Days section later this summer.

shutterstock_1421061038-1

Ava Max is back with her new song “Million Dollar Baby,” the latest single off her sophomore album Diamonds & Dancefloors. The track premiered along with an accompanying music video, directed by Andrew Donoho.

Ava shared in a statement: “When I was creating this record, I was going through a really hard time in my life – heartbreak and just a lot of sadness. I titled it ‘Million Dollar Baby’ to remind myself of my self-worth and wrote the lyrics to show that you can overcome and achieve anything when you put your mind to it. The line ‘She broke out of her chains, turned the fire into rain’ shows the journey this song took me through – from feeling weighed down by sadness to breaking free and feeling like myself again.”

Diamonds & Dancefloors drops on January 27th and is the follow-up to Ava’s debut album, 2020’s Heaven & Hell, which earned over 8.5B global streams and gold, platinum, and multi-platinum certifications in over a dozen countries.
