Join Z102.9’s The Morning Scramble on Independence Day as they broadcast live starting at 5 p.m. at the McGrath Amphitheatre powered by Imon. It’s one of the best seats for the Celebration of Freedom fireworks in downtown Cedar Rapids. There will be food vendors, drinks in the venue, and a kid’s fun zone! Plus, Alisabeth Von Presley will be performing prior to the fireworks at dusk.
Along with in the McGrath Amphitheatre, the best site for viewing are along the Third Avenue Bridge. Avoid sitting in construction zones, on the island or on the First Avenue Bridge for your safety. Your Freedom Festival Button is required to watch from the Amphitheatre or Third Avenue Bridge.
