Charlie Puth shared the release date and official artwork for his upcoming album, which the singer said will be titled ‘Charlie’.

Puth released the following statement on Instagram: “This album was born on the internet, and I’ve had so much fun making it in front of all of you this past year. 2019 me used to think that in order to be an artist, you had to hide away and talk to nobody to make your art. Turns out you make MUCH better art when you involve millions of people in the process. (For me at least.) I hope you scream cry every word when I sing these songs on tour because they wouldn’t be here without you. Thank you.”

‘Charlie’ will be Puth’s third studio album and the follow-up to 2018’s Voicenotes and 2016’s Nine Track Mind.

Shawn Mendes postpones tour to focus on mental health

Shawn Mendes has announced on social media that he is taking a break from touring to focus on his mental health.

The 23-year-old Mendes wrote in a statement shared on both Instagram and Twitter: “This breaks my heart to have to say this, but unfortunately I’m going to have to postpone the next three weeks of shows through Uncasville, CT until further notice. I’ve been touring since I was 15 and to be honest it’s always been difficult to be on the road away from friends and family. After a few years off the road, I felt like I was ready to dive back in, but that decision was premature and unfortunately the toll of the road and the pressure has caught up to me and I’ve hit a breaking point. After speaking with my team and health professionals, I need to take some time to heal and take care of myself and my mental health, first and foremost. As soon as there are more updates I promise I will let you know. Love you guys.”

Mendes released his “Wonder” album in December 2020, and the “Wonder” world tour kicked off June 27 in Portland, Oregon.  According to the “Wonder” world tour website, Mendes’ next show following the three-week postponement will be in Toronto, Canada on July 31. The North American leg of the tour is set to continue through October 26, with European shows beginning in May 31, 2023 and ending August 1, 2023.
