Jack Harlow has unveiled the tracklist for his second studio album, ‘Come Home the Kids Miss You.’  The 15-track project features the previously released singles “Nail Tech” and “First Class,” as well as guest appearances from Drake, Lil Wayne, Pharrell, and Justin Timberlake.  Come Home the Kids Miss You is the official follow-up to Harlow’s 2020 debut LP, That’s What They All Say.

Earlier this week, Harlow took to Instagram to tease another song from the album, “Dua Lipa,” rapping along in a video clip, “Dua Lipa, I’m tryna do more with her than do a feature.”   His latest single “First Class” debuted atop the charts last month with a record 54.6 million streams, 4.1 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 10,600 downloads all in its first week.  The song marks Harlow’s third top 10 hit, following “Whats Poppin,” and his Lil Nas X collab, “Industry Baby.”

Screen adaptation of the Broadway show ‘Wicked’ to be split into two films

shutterstock_1619695126-2

Director Jon M. Chu announced that the movie adaptation of the Broadway show ‘Wicked” will be split into two films. The first film is scheduled for release December 2024. Wicked premiered on Broadway in 2003.

Chu cited misgivings about attempting to condense the Broadway musical into a single film, saying in part: “As we tried to cut songs or trim characters, those decisions began to feel like fatal compromises to the source material. With more space, we can tell the story of Wicked as it was meant to be told while bringing even more depth and surprise to the journeys of these beloved characters.”

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo will play Glinda and Elphaba, the witches of Oz. Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel originated those roles on Broadway. Chu said rehearsals will begin prior to filming and he plans to share updates on production and post-production.

Netflix has canceled an animated series that was in development from creator Meghan Markle.   Titled Pearl, the series was set to follow the adventures of a 12-year-old girl who finds inspiration from influential women throughout history.

The cancelation of Pearl comes after Netflix shares plunged in April after the streaming service announced a drop in subscribers. Sources reveal that Netflix said the cancelation is part of strategic decisions the company is making on animated content.

Markle and Prince Harry signed a multi-year deal with Netflix in September 2020 to develop documentaries, feature films, scripted televisions series and children’s shows. Netflix will continue to work with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex through their Archwell Productions company.
